Background:
Battersea Technology College is a small local education authority maintained secondary college of some 600 students. It is located on the south side of Battersea park road to the east of Culvert road. The college has a wide choice of subjects, excellent sixth form facilities, small-sized classes, textbooks supplied free of charge and full pastoral support. It has a wide range of extra-curricular activities including football, athletics, basketball, science extension, mathematics extension, drama workshops and physical education extension. The college curriculum covers the following subjects: art, English, drama, geography, history, mathematics, music, French and Spanish, physical education, science and technology, information and communication technology, physical, social and health education. The college aims to create a caring community in which both staff and students can work and achieve, and where teaching and learning is free from disruption.
