Background:
The BRIT School is Britain's only free Performing Arts and Technology School. It is an independent, state funded city college for the Technology of the Arts, the only one of its kind dedicated to education and vocational training for the performing arts, media, art and design and the technologies that make performance possible. The school is funded by both the DfES and the British Record Industry Trust, a charitable organisation. The school aims to prepare students for the world of work and further study by providing them with the skills, information and experiences to make informed choices about their future. There are six fully equipped dance studios in the school and all have hi-fi facilities, television and video players and mirrors. The school aims to provide an enjoyable, orderly, friendly and creative environment.
