Background:
Opened in 1951, the school occupies a single-storey building set in beautiful grounds close to the River Wandle. Facilities include an information and communication technology suite. In addition to covering the full national curriculum the school offers extra-curricular sports such as gym, football and athletics. Links are maintained with the local community including the elderly, police, health organisations, Church, heritage centre and special school. Children raise funds for the Hand of Hope appeal, Tadworth Court, Red Nose Day, Jeans for Genes and the NSPCC in addition to their own projects such as Children's Millennium Wish. The school aims to provide a safe, caring environment free from fear and intimidation.
