Background:

Chingford is a Foundation School that in the last ten years has grown significantly and has vastly improved its academic record. It has been awarded three successive Achievement Awards and is over-subscribed. It has some 'excellent' facilities including a modern sixth form centre, nine state of the art science laboratories, a refurbished maths suite, new ICT rooms and a new art/media centre. Sport and dance are a particular strength and a large number of national and international visits are offered to pupils and students. The school holds the FA charter mark and sportsmark. The school aims to provide for children of all backgrounds and abilities a high calibre of education within a comprehensive system that ensures a secure, caring learning environment. The school employs an 'expert' teaching force so that all pupils achieve their potential and are equipped with the skills, knowledge and understanding to become responsible adults.
