Background:

Edenham High School was opened in September 1977 as a new comprehensive school. It soon established itself an excellent reputation within the London Borough of Croydon. The school continuous to provide a very high standard of education to boys and girls aged 11 to 16. A broad and balanced curriculum is provided with a developing range of vocational courses. Examinations results are good and the majority of its student's progress on to academic sixth form courses in Croydon and elsewhere. The school was proud to be the first in the Croydon area to be granted Technology College specialist school status. The school has achieved the Sportsmark award and has an excellent record of sporting achievement and a high very high level of participation in extra-curricular sport amongst its students. The school was awarded Investor in People Status in the summer of 2005 for the second time. Students are actively engaged in all aspects of school life. School council has an increasing influence on the development of the school. Student participates regularly in a wide range of clubs including dramatic and musical activities and work very hard to raise large sums of money for a wide variety of charities. The school has a strong focus on enabling students and staff to achieve high quality learning in a well-disciplined environment.
