Background:
Holland Park was built in 1958 as London's first ever purpose-built comprehensive school. It has a rich and proud history of serving the full range of its community. It is culturally and linguistically diverse. It welcomes people from all parts of the world and is proud to be a dynamic international institution where tolerance is key. There are plans underway to rebuild the school on its current site. This exciting and rare opportunity will be a key turning point for the school. The curriculum is broad and balanced and meets the requirements of the national curriculum, there is also a wide range of extra-curricular activities available. There is a very high ratio of computers to students, well beyond the recommended number. The newly refurbished school library is staffed by specialists. The school aim is to engender an atmosphere in which young people feel safe and valued. It wants everyone to be committed to building a strong learning culture.
