Background:
Lathom Junior School has served the local area for over one hundered years. It is a very large, three-storey building typical of the Victorian era with unique architectural features. The spacious building houses seventeen classes and various offices and resource areas. The school has a wide range of extra-curricular activities including drama, music, games, homework club, recorders, football, cricket, netball. The national curriculum covers the core subjects including English, mathematics, science and information technology and foundation subjects including art, geography, history, music, physical education and design technology. The school believes that it should provide a happy, caring and secure environment where all individuals are valued and able to achieve their full potential within the context of partnership with parents, carers and the wider community.
