Background:
The school moved to its present site in 1972 and is affiliated, as its name suggests to the two local churches. It is a christian school in ethos as well as name, but will treat all children the same 'whatever their ability, sex, race or creed'. The purpose built facilities include some new buildings such as Library, which houses computer equipment, and a Science and Environmental Educations Centre. The school ahs gardens, an allweather play area and adventure playground equipment. For other sports the school has access to local facilities, and occasionally visits Ravens Ait on the Thames for water sports. The relationships with the local churches are happy ones, and the children will attend about twice a term. In addition the clergy will occasionally teach RE lessons, and take assembly once a week. The School Association, run by a commitee of teachers and parents is a wideranging contributor to the school. Evants throughout the year have historically allowed the school to afford extra equipment, and new parents are encouraged to participate.
