Mellow Lane was established as a comprehensive school in 1948, the second such school to be established in England and Wales. Parents and staff have raised a significant amount of money for the benefit of the students as well as organising events such as Trivia Quiz Competitions. Mellow Lane believes in education in its broadest sense and therefore students are encouraged to experience new activities. It believes that extra-curricular activities are of the utmost importance and an integral part of the overall education of its students. Mellow Lane School's aim is to challenge and inspire all of its students, and to secure the best possible education for each individual.
