Girls are encouraged to give of their best and reach their full potential in an environment that is both challenging but supportive. The school'stands on the brink of an exciting future. A private finance initiative, now underway and due for competition in 2002/2003, will transform the physical fabric of the school, providing state of the art facilities for all subject areas including sport, music, languages, art, drama and dance. Fully equipped technology rooms will specialise in food, textiles, graphics, electronics and information and communication technology (ICT). The school has many supervised clubs and organised activities. The school aim is to meet the educational needs of every student and to provide equality of access to the curriculum. The school promotes developing an enquiring mind and an enthusiasm for learning and helps students understand and confidently meet the challenges of a changing society and the world of work. It encourages students to develop self confidence, an understanding of and a respect for others. The school develops positive links with parents, extending and strengthen the partnership between the school and its wider community whilst creating an environment where students feel secure and able to fulfill their potential.
