Background:
The school was opened by Princess Frederica, a cousin of Queen Victoria, in 1889. The two-storey Victorian building's facilities include a library, an information technology room, two halls and a music room. The grounds provide further resources with four playgrounds, an environmental area, a pond and vegetable patches. Children may develop musical interests with extra tuition after-school, at the music clubs, and by participating in local music festivals. Extra-curricular sport, art, English and mathematics are also catered for. The pupils are proud of their fundraising for charity each year.
