Rushley Green School is a county primary school run by London Borough of Lewisham. This is two-form entry school. It is located within an open plan building opened in 1971. It stands in attractive and spacious grounds with two playgrounds and a large playing field. The nursery is next to the main building. It is a self-contained unit, with its own play area. The infant department has six class area and a large hall. The hall is used for assemblies, physical education, dance and drama and contains gymnasium apparatus. In the junior department there are eight class areas and a large hall for gymnastics and other activities. The school also has a library, resource areas, a viewing/music room, a hearing impaired unit, a staff room and a first aid room. The school kitchen is sited at the front of the building. The school is well resourced with books, equipment and all kinds of musical instruments, computers, videos, pictures, games and puzzles. It aims to provide materials of high quality, which give equal value to people of all cultures and ethnic backgrounds. Rushey Green Primary School has been presented with a School Achievement award for its SAT results in 2001 and Activemark award 2003. The school aims to work in partnership with parents to provide an education of the highest quality, which celebrates everyone's success in a happy, caring, creative environment where all it differences are valued.
