Background:
Selsdon Primary School opened in May 1928. The pupils were taught in a temporary building known as the 'Tin School' until the present two-storey building was completed in 1931. The teaching of religious education is based on the Croydon Agreed Syllabus. The major Christian festivals are studied each year. The school provides a range of extra-curricular activities. Its aim is to offer activities which enhance children's learning, and those which they may not normally encounter during the school day.
