Background:

At St Joseph RC Primary School religious education is delivered in accordance with the Diocesan policy and is sustained and supported through close links between home, school and parish. Information and communication technology involves the use and study of computers. All children are encouraged to draw, paint and create three dimensional work using a variety of media and stimuli. Music is developed across all age groups, from nursery to Year 6. All children take part in physical education lessons which are planned according to the age of the class. Children experience gymnastics, dance and games. The school aims to teach respect for self and others through the catholic faith, recognising the value of each and every member of the school community. It also aims to encourage children and teachers to reach the highest standards of achievement in all areas, valuing personal best and developing a community of independent learners in a secure learning environment.
