Background:
Swaffield Primary School was founded in 1895 on the present site in a temporary building. The main school building was opened to infant pupils and boys in the autumn of 1897 and girls were admitted on the completion of the top floors in February 1898. It is a two-form entry school serving the local community. The school offers a broad and balanced curriculum with a wide range of extra-curricular activities in sports and the arts. This school has also achieved the following awards: Charter mark, Investor in People, Schools Curriculum award and Artsmark Gold. The school aims to help the children to develop spiritually, morally, culturally, mentally and physically through the work they do in the school.
