Background:
Hollyfield School was founded in 1937. Built in the grounds of an old mansion house the school has attractive grounds and is very favourably sited for local transport in and around the Surbiton area. There is a wide range of sports and the school is particularly active in football, basketball, netball, cricket and hockey with teams in each year competing in a number of tournaments. Other clubs usually include computer study club, keyboard skills, science club, netball club, drama club, athletics, tennis and environmental club. This school has also achieved the following awards: Specialist Technology College status, DfES achievement award and Schools Curriculum award. The school aims to promote the highest academic attainment within a caring, cooperative and orderly environment which fosters understanding and appreciation of, and respect for, its community.
