Background:
Wandle Primary is a small school close to parks, allotments and the river Wandle. The school curriculum offers a foreign language, citizenship, careers and health. The school organises a programme of visits including curricular focus visits, as well as concerts, opera, theatre and ballet. There have also been trips to Paris and one to Ghana is being planned. The school takes part in football, cricket, athletics and netball competitions and provides clubs for computers, art, dance, music, cookery, homework, drama, film, SATS practise, woodwork, Italian and Arabic. Wandle Primary has been awarded a Charter Mark for achievement in reading and modern foreign languages, has been accredited by the Central Bureau for Overseas Links and International Projects, and has developed links with schools in Italy and Ghana. It also holds the Wandsworth Health Promoting Primary Schools award.
