Background:
Annandale Primary was built in 1972 as a one-story school building set in grounds with separate playgrounds for younger and older children, garden areas, and a pond and conservation area that are used as a resource for teaching. The school puts an emphasis on its community links especially with with local colleges and the 'active' Parent-Teacher Association. Activities after school involve cricket and football coaching, cello, violin and guitar lessons. Pupils take part in day trips and residential journeys to enhance curricular teaching on given subjects.
