Background:

Whitehall is a community school catering for children between the ages of three to eleven years. The school was opened in 1940 with a nursery added in 1980. The school aims to give all children equal opportunities to develop whatever talents they have and to take advantage of the maximum range of curriculum experiences. The school is well resourced with a system of networked computers giving all children access to a wide range of software. Music, drama, dance and PE activities all take place in one of its halls. The curriculum is planned to enable all children to obtain a broad and balanced curriculum in these areas. The school aims to create a stimulating environment where all children, irrespective of race, gender or disability learn to recognise, respect and value the cultural, racial and sexual differences in its society and feel a valued member of the school community.
