Background:

William Primary School aim is for each member of the school community to attain their highest achievements through a quality curriculum, professional development and a respect for, and a consideration of, each other. The school has a whole school approach to curriculum planning, teaching and learning which means that all the teachers know what work is being taught in each class. Girls and boys are taught together, and it offers equal opportunities, irrespective of gender, origin, religion, race or any special educational needs. The school is very well resourced to support all children across the whole curriculum. It has an excellent school library. The school tries to offer a number of extra-curricular activities each term. Some activities are after-school, but some are at lunchtime. The activities range from choir, drama, Bengali club and reading clubs. The number and type of activities on offer depends on recruiting the staff to run the activities. The school aims to provide a safe, tidy working environment.
