Background:
Wyvil Primary School was formed in January 1982 by the amalgamation of Wyvil Junior School and Wyvil Infant School. Children are encouraged to develop their language abilities in the four areas of speaking, listening, reading and writing. Children have the opportunity to be involved with musical activities through the use of tuned and untuned percussion instruments, including steel pans, recorder playing, singing and guitar playing. The aim of of Wyvil Primary School is to provide a rich, stimulating, caring and supportive environment by a structured process of learning and personal development. This will enable each child to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes, which help him/her to progress as happy, confident and capable learners.
