Background:
St Patrick's Catholic Primary School was founded in Soho in 1803 by a group of Irish merchants to serve the children of Irish immigrant workers. It consists of a single-storey building with first floor accommodation for two junior classes and a library. An additional first floor resource room was converted into an ICT suite in July 2002. Recent expansion includes the addition of the nursery building in June 2000. In May 2003 the administration block was completed reorganised and refurbished. The school has three playgrounds, a large garden area and a school car park. Extra-curricular activities include languages, sport, music, art and dance.
